The icon. The Le Creuset 26cm Round Cast Iron Casserole has been the centrepiece of countless kitchens since 1925, hand-cast in sand moulds at the original foundry in Fresnoy-le-Grand, France. Five-litre capacity serves six. Use it for slow-braised stews, Sunday roasts, pots of soup, no-knead bread, casseroles that go from cooktop to oven to table. The advanced sand interior enamel resists staining and chipping, the tight-fitting lid locks in moisture, and the cast iron retains heat long after you've turned the stove off. Induction compatible. - Hand wash recommended (dishwasher safe but hand washing extends the life of the enamel). Suitable for all hob types including induction, gas, electric, ceramic and halogen, plus the oven and grill.
